MV Sigulu ferry is Construction in progress and now is at 95% progresss to be completed. The MV Sigulu Ferry will connect Namayingo mainland – Lolwe and Sigulu islands: MV Sigulu ferry now under construction at Masese, Jinj, is going to be Uganda’s largest ferry with a capacity off 300 passengers when complete. UNRA ED Allen Kagina inspected the progress of the ongoing construction of MV Sigulu ferry at Masese, Jinja.
MV Sigulu Ferry upon completion, the ferry will be connecting Namayingo Mainland – Lolwe and Sigulu Islands and will only operate one route since it will take 8 hours on water from the mainland. The construction is expected to be complete in March 2019.
The vessel, which has a capacity of 300 passengers and 10 trucks/15 small vehicles, will have a restaurant, sick bay, toilets, open rooms and enclosed rooms for tourists.
