Museveni launches the first phase of the Kampala fly-over project that will reduce traffic jam

His Excellence Yoweri Kagutta Museveni, today launces the first phase of the new Kampala fly over project that will be completed in 3 years’ time start January 2019.

This project is funded by a loan from Japanese government through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The project will also entail improving the existing road structure including widening of the 0.5 kilometre Queens way road, Mukwano, Gaba and Nsambya road and improving of Entebbe road.

The project is aimed at lessening the chronic traffic congestion in Kampala the central business centre and the greater metropolitan areas by re-aligning traffic flow in and out of the city. The first phase is to expect to cost sh300b.
