A honey badger was stuck in a barbaric and painful trap that could have been set by poachers. This all happened in the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary, the authorities (Rhino fund Uganda) and quickly came to the badger’s rescue. Uganda Wildlife Authority sent one of their vets and together with the rhino fund the honey badger was able to be sedated so as to relieve it from the trap and then treat it’s wound.

Honey badgers are widely spread animals in Africa, southwest Asia and the sub Asian continent. They are also said to be the most fearless animals, they can survive in the wild for long because of its few natural predators. Honey badgers also have very thick skin and ferocious defensive abilities. They are primarily carnivorous and hunt anytime of the day.

After the treatment, the badger was seen two days later on the camera footage, moving around very well
